Thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported us, amazing! I know Richie would be proud!
We lost Richie to cancer in July 2011, at just 31. Richie was a mischievous and big hearted friend (to many), son, husband and father. To mark his passing 4 years ago this month, we have set up some summer challenges. Please donate to Centrepoint in the UK, a future for young homeless people, or Skein Valley Dogs in NZ to encourage youth into a hobby (links below).

Welcome to the Richie Clapham Fundraiser 2015 blog!
We lost Richie to cancer in 2011, at just 31. Richie was a mischievous and big hearted friend (to many), son, husband and father. 15 years ago he emigrated to New Zealand (NZ) with his family and wife-to-be Rachel. In 2005 I (Huw) lived and worked with them before following the Lions rugby tour of NZ with another friend Paul.
EVENTS
To mark 10 years since the tour and 4 years since his passing, we have set up some summer challenges. I will cycle from London to west Wales, around 260 miles in 5 days, through Richie’s old home town, Cheltenham. Paul will join for 2 days, topping up with a gym challenge in Leeds, along with Tom (one of Richie’s school friends).
CAUSE
Having spoken to Richie’s mum, we’ve chosen a cause close to his big heart – supporting disadvantaged youth. Richie battled hard to reach the birth of his son, Brodee, which he thankfully achieved. His friends and family have always been in awe of his energy and dedication, we hope to do Richie proud!
